Good times!

Well, I thought the pictures were going to be out of order, but Dan told me how to fix them. It's been a fun and busy week. Obviously, it tuckered out Dan and Casper, our cat. The cat woke up by the time I took the picture, but the two had been asleep for quite a while. It was really cute!

Then on Friday, the home school co-op had a track meet with other Christian schools. This is Macy when she was doing the long jump. She is 5 years old and jumped 3' 4".

Then today, Saturday, we got up and ran a 5K (3.2 miles). We did it with a group of friends. This is at 7:15 this morning before the race. It's Dan, me (tara), Jacque, Brenda, and Troy.
Also a few kids joined us. Jacque's sons Logan and Nick.
Troy and Brenda's daughter Maggie did a 1 mile run and did a great job. From what I understand it was just over 12 minutes. We are all proud of her!

This is all of us who ran the 5K (3.2 miles) after we finished.

Then, this morning after the race, Dan went out to the country shooting with some friends of ours. This is Tyler all ready to go!

Overall it has been a fun and busy week. Next week should be interesting. Dan is going to be working overnights so it will be kind of busy around here. Also, at the end of the week, we have a Bible bowl tournament here in town. We will post more then....T

Weekend fun!

This weekend Dan's parents came. We went garage selling, went to goodwill, and did some yard work. We moved tons of rock. We have more to go but got a good start on it.

That's as far as we got, but it was a lot of rock! So many! Now we have to finish it all.
Dan with his mom Betty and step-dad Al.
We also went to dinner at my Aunt Rhondas. It was nice. Michelle was home so we got to hang out with her and meet her new boyfriend. We approve! T

Anniversary!!!

Today is Dan and my three year anniversary! Yeah!! Life is so good. We both worked today, had Bible Bowl practice, then went to dinner at Sammy's Steak House (yummy sirloin), went to the bank, Dillons (rented movies), and the gas stations. Now we are home, I am updating this, and we are starting a movie. Have a great night you all! Oh, and Dave and Kristen, Happy Anniversary to you as well (a week late), we thought of you, but obviously forgot to send the card. We can't wait to see you all! T & D

This Past Weekend

Well, this past weekend, we did all sorts of stuff of Saturday, I won't bore you with the details.
On Sunday, we went to Sunday School and church and then we went to the boys soccer games.
This is me getting ready for a 'chippy' day. (A mix of the words chilly and nippy, it was a chippy day in Kansas on Sunday!)
This is my nephew Trevor's soccer team.
Trevor playing soccer....
Macy packing up to head to the next field and Brendan's soccer game.
Dan is cold, so he is all bundeled up...
Brendan playing soccer... he's out there somewhere...
That's Brendan in the middle out there...
Dan playing with Grant...trying to get a good pix.
E.T. phone home??? Nope, just Grant!
Trevor with his medals after his game...

And that was the fun on Sunday afternoon... there will be more tomorrow. I watch the kids on Thursday evening so Bobbie Jo and Jeff can go to ballroom dance class! T

Homemade Pizza

Homemade pizza for dinner! Yummy! It sounded so good so we made 2.

Pepperoni and Mushrooms (2 slices without mushrooms for Tara)

And a pizza with ranch, not regular pizza sauce, chicken, onions, and red, yellow, and green bell peppers. Tara's favorite. It was yummy, just missing garlic.
Now time for a new movie, The Painted Veil, looked interesting, so that's our exciting Friday night...t

Guess who is coming to town?

No not Santa Clause, this is the wrong time of year!

In Case you can't read the sign it says Sam's Club with a bunch of the services they offer along the bottom in the blue line.

Hard to imagine that it takes so little time to put up the walls, the big wait will be while they put in the shelves and get the store stocked for all of us eager shoppers.
Some of the fun "toys" they get to use in putting the building up. D

Tons of Fun

Since Dan had the day off, he spent it organizing hangers. yes, hangers. Our church does a big day of service each year where we give away tons of clothes and a bunch of other stuff as well. We store the hangers in our overhead compartment in our garage from year to year.

I have to say I have the best job ever! I get to spend every day with my sister Bobbie Jo and her family. I have the cutest nephew ever! See!

So work has been good for me (Tara), for Dan it has been busy. They had a guy quit, which was good and bad. Left them short handed, but he wasn't really a very good worker anyhow. He likes working there at Staples regardless.

Otherwise, we just got home from Bible Bowl practice and dinner at church. We eat there every Wednesday during the school year. It's nice to not have to worry about what to cook.
Dan is now reading the book, Simple Church. He has to read some of it before his Ministry Reporting Meeting tomorrow night. I am settling in to address and stuff statements for work. Sounds fun, huh! Well, more later. T
