God is Great!!
We got a call from AGCI today concerning more of the financial side of the adoption. They were concerned that we did not have as much money in savings as they would like to see before we started the process. The initial payment is approximatelly twice what we have in our savings and would be due within two weeks of them accepting us with the official contracts. Although we have several great fund raisers planned, they didn't think we would be able to get the money in the time necessary to get the contracts back to them. After stressing over the "What next" aspcet, and praying about what God would have us do, we got the answer, literally. We were eating dinner at church before quior and youth group started, and got a call from a close friend who has supported us from the start of this process. They wanted to know how things were going with the adoption application and us waiting to get approved. We briefly shared what we had found out today and that we would need to raise $10,000 as soon as humanly possible. They proceeded to tell us that they would get a check in the mail in the morning for the full amount. They want to see us move forward and were able to bless and help us in this way. God is just so awesome!!! He knows what He is doing and just wants us to move forward in faith and trust and He will provide all we need to accomplish what he has called us to. This is a case in point. We were honestly praying and freaking out all afternoon. Now all we can say is "GOD IS SO GOOD!" Thank you to the friend who was able to bless us and our future child(ren). God knows who you are and what a blessing you are to us in our life! We hope to post tomorrow the officail approval with AGCI. We will keep you posted.

Can you imagine the all exciting things that GOD has planned for you???? and How much you will learn to trust HIM for???? Love you & many prayers -- mom
So wonderful!!!
I want to know what's the big deal with the money thing. It seems out of line to me, having had three kids of my own. That being said, God is really cool -- about the time you feel like despair, God comes through and (I've had it happen) sometimes it can be audible and quite to the point or sometimes in a vision. You had God come through for you in the form of your generous and loving friend. I'm glad you didn't have to agonize over that stage of the process.
It's ok for a mom to cry when her kids receive such a blessing, isn't it? You are going to be such wonderful parents. I'm excited for you and will have a little check in the mail today to add to your support. It's going to be fun to see God provide the rest of what you need for this adoption(s). Love you both! - Mom
