No, it is not snow, but a huge storm came through town for about 15 minutes. Torrential rains and hail. It had looked like snow had fallen all over town. It was piled in yards and on roofs. At this point, Dan is trying to get me to back out of camping, but I am dead set we are going. I keep telling him it would be an adventure. So, low and behold, we went! It was great! A cool evening Friday night, but not bad. A nice drizzle to wake up to. As soon as the sun really got going, it burned off all the mist and was perfect by 8:30. I had fun cooking this trip. I thought I would get adventurous. We had picked up a cast iron griddle at a garage sale ($3) and I made everything from hashbrowns, bacon and eggs, to pancakes, and sausage and corn on the cob. It was so good! The temp probably never even hit 90. Perfect weekend for camping! Here are a few pictures of our campsite...
And this is the makings of the best thing ever! Blueberry pies over the campfire. If you've never had one, you should try it sometime...
Overall that weekend was wonderful, relaxing, and refreshing! I can't wait to go back for some fall camping!!!
